Lean Health Care Implementation Specialist – Consultant

To meet our growing demand, OpEx is searching for an experienced healthcare consultant with 5 or more years of Operations Management and Operational Improvement Experience using LEAN Manufacturing and Six Sigma Tools. This position allows you to live anywhere in the continental U.S. with up to 200 days a year spent traveling to client sites.

OpEx is a small consulting firm that takes pride in being short on reports and long on implementations. We have extensive experience implementing Lean principles in health care and are focused on helping our clients achieve significant tangible improvements. We seek an experienced and driven individual to do the same.

Our Expectations of You:

> Experience providing consulting services to C-Suite and their direct reports while leading functional area teams
> 5+ years of successful health care operations management and demonstrated operational improvement experience with in-depth knowledge of Lean Tools and practical knowledge of Six Sigma.
> Experience implementing operational excellence principles in health care
> A driven professional focused on taking responsibility for helping our clients achieve tangible improvements while keeping a cool head under pressure.
> Ability to communicate with and motivate people at all levels of the organization.
> Must have a relevant B.S. or B.A. degree with a Masters degree preferred.
> Proficient with Microsoft Office suite with knowledge of drawing, scheduling and video editing software desirable.
> Excellent project management, mentoring and conflict resolution skills.
> A hands-on person with the ability to collect data, analyze, validate, design solutions, present findings, develop a plan and IMPLEMENT.

What You Will Do:

> Implement Lean projects in health care
       o Train, mentor and lead client personnel to achieve project deliverables.
       o Provide honest reports on project status identifying issues and actions needed to ensure project success.
> Contribute to the development of OpEx
       o Perform operational assessments defining scope, savings and resources required for future projects.
       o Take personal responsibility for meeting/exceeding project deliverables with integrity thus leading to future business.
       o Perform various tasks as needed to generate additional work
> Contribute to the development of the OpEx, Inc. team by sharing your knowledge and working to better the organization.
