The Task Reports feature on the Project Management tab can be used to
generate a variety of task reports.
A Task Management List report can be generated list out the various tasks and
improvement ideas that have been generated by the team. This list can be
generated for the entire project, or by specific people, teams, or task sources.
These lists can be generated as a Microsoft Excel document or as an HTML list
suitable for viewing in a web browser.
A Task Summary report can also be generated. This Excel report summarizes
the numbers of open, closed, and overdue tasks by person, team, and task
source.
Creating a Task Management Report (Project Task List)
To create a Task Management Report,
1. Select the Project Management tab from the Main Menu and click the "Task
Reports" button.
2. In the Reports section of the Task Management Report dialog box, click the
radio button corresponding to the desired report. Optionally, select the name
of the Person or Team/Department to restrict the report to.
3. To create a Microsoft Excel version of the report, click the "Generate Report"
button. When prompted, select the location and enter the file name of the
report. After the report is generated, Catena will ask if you want to open the
report or not.
Items that are overdue are shaded red. Items that are due on the day the
report is generated are shaded yellow.
4. To create a HTML (web) version of the report, click the "View Report" button.
After the report is generated, Catena will automatically open a web browser
and display the report.
Creating a Task Summary Report
To create a Summary Report,
1. Select the Project Management tab from the Main Menu and click the "Task
Reports" button.
2. In the Reports section of the Task Management Reports dialog box, click the
Task Summary radio button.
3. Click the "Generate Report" button to create the report in Microsoft Excel.
When prompted, specify the location and file name to save the report under.
4. When Catena finishes generating the report, it can be viewed immediately by
clicking Yes when prompted:

Overdue items are shaded yellow if 25% or more of the tasks in the
category are overdue. They are shaded yellow if 50% or more of the tasks
are overdue.
