Catena is available with an optional Palm OS based handheld application called
Performance Scout. Performance Scout lets you use an inexpensive handheld
device running Palm OS to collect down time, throughput, and efficiency data
remotely.
Data is collected using the Palm OS device. The device is then hotsynced to
transfer the data to the desired database file.
To change the Project data file to which data will be synced, perform the
following steps.
1. Open the Project's data file.
2. Select Configuration | Performance Scout from the menu bar to select the
configuration window.
3. In the configuration window, click the Select button, navigate to the desired
Project file, select it, click open, and then click OK.
4. To transfer data from the handheld unit to the Project's data file, Hotsync the
device using the Palm OS desktop software provided with the device.
The Performance Scout conduit must have been setup during Catena's installation for hotsyncing to be successful. If this
option was not
performed during installation, it can be done later by running
ConduitInstaller.exe located in the application's installation directory
(c:\program files\catena\ by default).
