Establishing a pull material replenishment system is often implemented in lean
systems to eliminate wastes associated with push (batch) materials
replenishment. The Labeling System button can be configured to launch the
Catena Material Replenishment Labeling System (used to create kanban and
two-bin labels) or another labeling program.
How To Use
1. From the main project panel, select
2. In the dialog box, click the Select button.
3. Navigate to the labeling system program, select it, and click OK.
To select a labeling system program with a file extension other than
.MDB (for example an executable file type .exe), type a '*' (without quotes)
into the File name line and press the enter key. This will display all files in
the folder.
For versions of Catena up through 3.0, the default Labeling System
program is MRLS 2.0. This file can be found in your project's \toolkit\mrls
folder as MRLS.MDB. Starting with Catena 3.1, Catena defaults to MRLS
2.1 which is located in your computer's program files directory under
\catena\mrls\mrls.mde by default.
4. Click OK to close the labeling system dialog box.
5. Clicking on the "Labeling System" button will now launch your labeling
program.
For additional assistance with MRLS, see the MRLS help document.
